just thought i'd let you know i saw your nails on this girls blog without your watermark :/

Argh! You have no idea how much it irritates me when I see my photos being tampered with. I don’t appreciate all these little kids trying to take credit for my work. It’s ridiculous. No respect. I hate having to take the time message these girls.

Thanks for letting me know, my dear. <3

Q&A

valgal47 asked:

Hi! I just followed you because I’m slightly obsessed with nails and you are the greatest inspiration! haha I have a question: where do you get the tools for the nail stamping? And/or any other tools you use for homemade manicures?

You are so sweet, thank you! For nail stamping, I bought my Konad tools online from aviva-beauty.net & some of the plates I buy from a local retailer. And regarding other tools, I just use some brushes that I bought off of eBay! I just searched “nail art brushes” & they have them for like $3, free shipping from China. You may have to wait a couple weeks, but it’s way better than wasting your money on expensive, overpriced brushes. And then I just have the typical stuff like cuticle remover, nail files, wooden manicure sticks & I also find sponges to come in handy if I wanna do gradient manicures & what not.

naneworld asked:

Hi! So I’ve got 2 questions for you!
1) I’m going to the States next month and I’d really love to buy a lot of nail polishes and stuff for nail art etc. Do you know in which stores I can get the best deals? :-)
2) I was wondering, do you use nail brushes like these : http://www.trekellnails.com/nail-art-brushes.html
if you do, can you also tell me a store for them? ‘Cause here in Belgium, they’re quite expensive…

That was it! Thank you so much! :-)

P.S.: I LOVE your blog, it’s really amazing!

Thank you! :) So to answer question #1, I’m not quite sure where you’re visiting so I’m not sure what stores carry great deals =\ But I do know that Sally Beauty Supply, JC Penny, ULTA, Trade Secret are just a couple popular places to buy nail polish, but they’re all at retail price. You can also go on Yelp.com & find any beauty stores that are nearby & see what they carry :)

And to answer your second question, I DO use brushes like that, but you can get them really cheap on eBay for like $3, free shipping! I’d rather buy them on eBay than from any other store. Just look up “Nail art brushes” in the Search.

Anonymous asked:

Do you ever worry about the warning label on the Seche Vite top coat?

Mm, not really. I don’t sit there & inhale the bottle like a druggie. I also do my nails in fully ventilated rooms. If I was pregnant, maybe I’d be more careful to use it. I also think it’s because California has super strict laws when it comes to labeling.

Anonymous asked:

I dont understand what water nail decals are? :((((

Water slide decals are on paper & usually have designs on them; you dip them in water for a few seconds & transfer it to your nails. They’re not stickers though & take a bit more time to work with. You can look up how to use them on YouTube! I will try to do a tutorial soon.

Anonymous asked:

What are some of the worst nail polishes you have tried?

Hmm…I think Sinful Colors are great for nail art, but I’ve tried some that are streaky & don’t apply well. I also didn’t like Hello Kitty by Sephora - Minty on me nor did I like the application; I think it would look better on fairer skin. But most of the polishes that I’ve used in my collection are pretty good!

br0lax asked:

ohhh my god! all of your nail designs are beautiful! you HAVE to do tutorials on them! btw, what colors do you recommend for summer?

Thanks love! :) I’ll try & do more tutorials in the future, during my spare time. Hmm, some Summer colors I’d say are Essie - Nice is Nice, Essie - Haute as Hello, OPI - No Room for the Blues, OPI Red Hot Gift, Essie - Mint Candy Apple, Essie - Shorty Pants..I’ll try & think of more :)

Anonymous asked:

Which top coat and which brand do you use?

Seche Vite! Nice shine & dries quick.

emilyelizabethxo asked:

hello! i live in the UK and i love all your manicures, especially the glitter ones. i was wondering if you knew anywhere to get the Milani Gems glitter nail polish you used which was so similar to DL’s Happy Birthday? i’m presuming target is an american store, but i would love to know if they sell it over here? i can’t find it on ebay by typing Milani Gems, any ideas?
em x

Hi Emily! I think I found some on Amazon.com & I think I just saw some on eBay a couple days ago…maybe you can re-check :)

ambitiouslychasinggod asked:

Your blog is AMAZING! I’ve recently become obsessed with nail polish and keeping my nails done. do you think you can do a video on painting nails and some simple designs for beginners. Or if not some type of picture of maybe a spongebob related design would greatly appreciate it!!!!

Thanks sweetie! I would love to do videos more often, if only I had the time. Haha maybe I can do a Spongebob manicure soon. My boyfriend, kids & I love that show! :P

rosamor asked:

Thanks for showing my post some love :)

I really like your nail designs! You are so talented!

Of course! That manicure was absolutely adorable! I’m a sucker for anything floral, especially roses :)

“All love, no hate.”A couple days ago, Vicky suggested that I do NOH8 nails for the LA Pride Festival which we attended in WeHo yesterday. The kids & I were able to take a picture at the NOH8 Campaign booth, something I’ve been wanting to do since they first began. Unfortunately my boyfriend Mark had work so we couldn’t take a complete family picture, but the photoshoots often come around to LA so there’s always next time. I got a couple compliments on the nails, even from NOH8’s photographer Adam Bouska :) I love his work! But I think the ones who were catching everyone’s attention were the kids with their NOH8 temporary tattoos on their cheeks! :P I loved that we were able to go & show our support. Like I wrote on my personal blog, marriage should not be defined by race, religion, social status, gender, etc. Love is love & marriage should be equal.

I recorded a simple tutorial on Konad nail stamping, for those who requested one a while back. I may post it later, but here’s the photo for now. The base color is Chanel - Jade Rose, the stamping color is OPI - Midnight in Moscow & the image plate is m71.

OPI Shatters are up for sale in my eBay store! Check it out HERE.Available colors: White, Turquoise, Blue, Red, Navy & Black. I am currently sold out of Silver Shatters, but I will have some more soon! They are $10 each ($10.15 for turquoise), free shipping if you’re in the USA. I add extra for international orders. If you don’t see a listing for a color, it’s probably because it’s sold out so get ‘em while you can!

Long Q&A.

· Anonymous asked:

Love your OPI Teenage Dream & floral water decal nails! Wondering where you got the decals from? :)

Thanks
:) I got them on eBay!

· vnesserrz asked:

Okay, I HAVE to ask. How did you do OPI - Teenage Dream & floral water decals? Thats GORGEOUS!!!!!

It was really simple, actually. I just cut & placed the water decals on each nail; I just cut it shorter for the nails with Teenage Dream on them.

· Anonymous asked:

what decals did you use for the floral nails? they are so cute!

They’re from eBay. Not quite sure if the seller has anymore though because I don’t see them anymore. You can look up “water decals nails” in the Search to look for other ones similar to them! They’re really cheap too.

· et2beaute asked:

will you have any studded cases for sale anytime soon?

Yes! I will have more up this week. In the meantime, check out my Etsy store here:

http://www.etsy.com/shop/bonniecalee?ref=pr_shop_more

· Anonymous asked:

i was wondering what you mean when you say “stamping” your nails. some of these designs are so intricate and beautiful, how do you do them? http://s3.amazonaws.com/data.tumblr.com/tumblr_lky6grDTPz1qgxpado1_1280.png?AWSAccessKeyId=AKIAJ6IHWSU3BX3X7X3Q&Expires=1307255975&Signature=Fmmk7KWB1dLgVAxrrE1b%2FrsvPBU%3D
was one of my favorites (:

Thanks! Actually, that one I did all by hand; I used a striping brush to create the stripes & also the palm trees. And by stamping, I mean I use stamping kits such as the ones by Konad; they’re really neat, you should check them out online to see what different designs you can make!

· youreinwonderlannd asked:

can you please follow me (:

Sorry dear; I only follow good friends or other nail blogs on this blog.

· Anonymous asked:

do you know where we can buy the serena williams glam sets in the US? I really like them and it comes with shatter!

Have you tried JCPenny or Trade Secret? I never shop there for polishes, but I know they carry OPI. Also certain beauty supply stores carry them.

· Anonymous asked:

what do you think of Chanel nail polish? :O are they worth it?

and also, have you tried Dior? I’m contemplating whether to buy some Chanel/Dior or not.

Chanel has some unique shades that I can’t find anywhere else so if there’s something you really love, I’d say go for it. I mean, don’t go all out on Chanel, but I wouldn’t mind getting a couple. The ones I got were definitely worth it!

And there are a couple Dior polishes that I have been dying to get my hands on! I’ve never tried them, but I’ve seen swatches. Very promising, pretty swatches if you ask me.

· Anonymous asked:

anonymous beause I do not have a tumblr, but I check yours everyday, its pretty. I saw a design on tumblr, you should try it: http://omnails.tumblr.com/post/5772380634/nude-color-and-waves-hope-you-guys-like-it
and your nails… God, I wish I have that much talent! congrats for your amazing blog!!! ♥

Thank you! J That’s so nice of you. Maybe in the future, I’ll try it out! It’s very cute.

· luvlolla asked:

Your nails are really cute *u*

Thanks lovely!

· Anonymous asked:

Anri does your nails? You must be from Hawaii :D
Are you?

Actually no I’m from California. I used to get my 3D nails done at a local Japanese nail salon & the manicurist I always went to was Anri. But I haven’t been back there in years!

· Anonymous asked:

Do you by anychance know the plate you used for this? SO CUTE!

Thanks! It’s Konad M61 :)

· decipherthis asked:

hey! i really love the peony water decal and have been searching for it in australia nail store and on ebay but in no avail. it would be great if you could give me some direction :)

I think she might’ve sold out :\ I got the decals a while ago.

· heyitslove asked:

How much have you spent on OPI nail polish? You have a lot of them!

Haha, not as much as you may think!

· littlesweetdoll asked:

:D I love your blog but what do you think of the China glazes nail polish ;]

I love China Glaze! I don’t own too many, but I’m really picky when it comes to choosing polishes so I always get the ones I find to be gorgeous! I really love their glitter polishes, but some of their polishes that I particularly like are For Audrey, 2030, Millennium, Ruby Pumps, Atlantis, Electric Lilac, Wagon Trail. I actually really love their new Anchors Away collection too.

· Anonymous asked:

Do you know any places online where we can get essie for cheaper? Thanks!

Not quite sure about online. In stores, I do. But maybe you can try eBay?

· Anonymous asked:

so i bought the konad starter kit with the plate and it didn’t come with the nail polish. but i used my essie’s nail polish and it still won’t stick the to the stamper. is it my nail polish or is it my scraper? i also tried with the sin colors nail polishes and only some of the design applied to the stamper. do i have to pick up the polish with the scraper right away?

What kind of Essie polish did you use? Is it thick or thin? I never use Konad’s special polishes so that’s not the issue. It always depends whether the polish you’re using is opaque enough to show up on your nails & also how fast you place it on your nails. So yup, once you scrape off the polish, you should pick it up with the stamp right away & transfer it to your nails as soon as you can because the nail polish dries quick! Really quick.

· Anonymous asked:

If you don’t mind ..
Could you pretty please do a step by step post on how to apply water decals?

I’ll try my best to find time to post a step by step tutorial soon. I still have yet to post a Konad stamping tutorial. I’ve just been so busy with my family every day.

1) Probably because on my eBay, I can see that the entire listing ended. I got them a few weeks ago. Not sure if she’ll have anymore, but you can ask the seller! :)
2) I got them off of eBay from this seller, however I think she sold out of that specific design. I bought them a while back.
3) I used a nail stamping plate for the design & I glued the studs on :)4) Same answer as #25) First, I had to cut the design out manually & shape it according to my nail, then I dipped it into water for about 20-25 seconds. I separated it from the back paper & I applied it to my nails. I wait for it to dry to actually start filing off the excess because if it’s too wet, it’ll just come off my nail!6) Thank you! :)

Where can we find those floral water decals?

From this eBay seller.

Anonymous asked: in response to your questions about the sally hansen crackle polishes, i've tried the sally hansen crackles and they're ok, but not amazing. the black is by far the best because there are at least decent crackles, but the gold barely makes any crackles while the white makes lots of small crackles, so it doesn't really look that great. those are just the colors i've tried so far. i assume the color ones aren't great because they're really sheer when applied.

this is just my opinion (:

Awesome, thanks for the info!

Anonymous asked: Hiya! So I was wondering.. do you have any tricks for removing glitter polishes easier? like say DL happy birthday. I slabbed about five coats on my nails and I know I'm going to regret it later -___-' oh btw I LOVE your tumblr!

Thank you! :) Funny you brought it up because that’s what I had to do last night. Those glitters are tough! But I basically soak a cotton ball in acetone & I hold it over my nails for a few minutes; you could even cover it with a small piece of foil to hold it…it works wonders. Unless you’re in a rush (which a lot of the time, I am), I just put the acetone & scrub it off as fast as I can..but I wouldn’t suggest it.
